Independent Writing

Today I am going to talk about snorkeling. When we got there we had to get changed in the bathrooms then we had to wait for both instructors to tell us our next step.

When they were done telling us what to do before we got in the pool we had to wear our snorkeling gear. Then we got into the pool. The instructor told us that we had to get used to breathing underwater with our masks.

Next we had to swim with flippers with our buddy. My buddy was Ozzie and after we sorted out our buddies, we had to swim while holding hands without touching the floor.

While we were in the water swimming Ozzie had to go somewhere so I ended up getting buddied up with Mel so we continued to swim then we had finished and then both instructors said thanks for coming then we got changed and lined up to go back to school.

Samoa

Hello and Malo e lelei, I am going to talk about samoa. The population of Samoa is about 197,097 and According to legend, Samoa is known as the Cradle of Polynesia because Savai'i island is said to be Hawaiki, the Polynesian homeland. The Pe'a is the popular name of the traditional male tatau. When war broke out in Europe in August 1914, Britain asked New Zealand to seize German Samoa as a 'great and urgent Imperial service'. New Zealand's response was swift. Led by Lieutenant Colonel Robert Logan, the 1400 strong Samoa Advance Party of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force landed at Apia on 29 August.
